Summer is ending; I refuse to admit it. I dread the 24° days. I have to think of something that will make them better....like hibernation, or living in a little bubble that mimicks warm summer nights.
Do people see my point here? No one ever asks..."how was your Spring?"...or..."What did you do this past Fall?"...clearly, other seasons are not what people inquire about. But hey, anyone can disagree with me, I'm still
entitled to my opinion.
Summer is beautiful.

Modest Mouse
Spend your whole life, looking for the adult that you are.
Spend the rest of your life looking for...looking for the child that you were.
Beautiful JL.

Trailer Trash
Ever since I was born, I wanted him to cover Trailer Trash just once, I wanted him to play Limousine with all that fire and angst and stuff, I wanted him to play Burns Gold with all that love and desire, I wanted him to play anything Neutral Milk Hotel. I got all four...in one show.
It was perfect.
I can't believe I've been to:
Pittsburgh, PA
Hartford, CT
Geneseo, NY
Boston, MA
Cincinnati, OH
Nassau Coliseum, NT
Albany, NY
All over for this band.
The No Seatbelt song
This was in Hartford CT. I went alone, I enjoyed much. It was Friday, March 6th, 2009..
I shot the pilot.
I love the group "Jesse Lacey wrote my life story" because everyone in the group knows what i mean when I say he really did. Really, c'mon, he's a genius. His guitar playing skills are self-admittedly simply, nonetheless his simplicity results in beauty. I mean...have you HEARD "Jesus Chris"?!! That is HEAVENLY in a song...not meant to be a pun.
It is.
I saw her live, she's so incredible when she's performing. Don't doubt that she can't sing...she just has her own style. I just really like this song. I haven't listen to rock in years; there isn't much new good stuff, so why waste my time hearing it? I'd rather spend it on beautiful sounds. This is one of those rarities. This song is simply beautiful.
Another video coming..

Visual embodiment.
Falling by Mike Posner is the most incredible thing to hear high. So, here I am waiting for the train, first song on shuffle is Falling. I'm listening to it with my ears and body and veins and soul, forgetting the fact that I'm on a high-speed above ground train. It's as if I'm hearing it and thinking, I MUST be dead because this is impossibly euphoric in every facet. The image of the visual embodiment of the lyrics comes to mind; it isn't even a thing... it's something only my mind can deem as recognizable.
All this while no one around me is aware of my thoughts...

Thursday
Topic of the day.
Busses are so aggravating. You know this isn't my favorite thing if I'm actually posting this.
People are savages on buses.
Now I'm off to enjoy my Thursday. I thank the world for the people and music that keep me sane.

Lay like lions in the grass.
Enjoying your own company is dire to one's existence; it heeds individuality, opportunity for inspiration and general mental stability.
But then again, there are people I can be around ALL the time and never feel the slightest bit stuck, or even annoyed. This isn't meant to connotate anything derogatory, it's a mere fact. It is neither a good nor a bad thing. It's just a thing.
Mike Posner is a genius, even outside of his world.
Very few artists have actually impacted my life, I can confidently say he is one of them.
Jesse Lacey, enough said.
Drake. I came to the conclusion that I feel so drawn to his music is because he's being himself. Although many artists say this about themselves, I feel as if he is truly genuine.
Explosions In The Sky. The only instrumental band type thing I can listen to. If you can't lay in the grass somewhere, probably under the influence of weed, and feel as if you're above the stratosphere while listening to them...then you can't be human.
Neutral Milk Hotel. They are the definiton of melody and lyrics that seem to be one continous setence all throughout.

Wednesday
A fact.
One of the things that I enjoy most is simply being in the company of who I love; just you and I. Conversation, freedom to say anything on your mind and heart, willingness to have no inhibitions, showing rather than saying, and letting go of all the perils and worries of our lives for those moments..and just thoroughly feeling free: now that is love. That is my definition of it; the world can accept it deny it, i myself live by it. Love is an immediate necessity. This is a fact.
